artist
Romina Lanzani grew up in beautiful Ticino - the Italian "sparkling" part of Switzerland - between two cultures, the Swiss German one of her mother and the Italian one of her father. After highschool she studied at the Scuola Superiore di Arti Applicate in Lugano, Accademia di Comunicazione in Milan and later in her life she studied meditation at the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University and coaching at The School of the Work by Byron Katie.
She loves to explore the richness of different materials and techniques. Her artwork includes drawing, illustration, sculpture, installations, wallpainting, etching, oilpainting, xylography, watercolour, silkscreen-printing, decoration, photography, portraiture that catches the soul of the being, handmade and printed cards...
Her first exhibition has been at Paradiso dell'Arte on Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Lucerne, Switzerland).
Travelling, theatre, nature, music, poetry, children's illustrated books and exhibitions are her "breath of life" and since several years she is fascinated by Landart and by the work with space, light and silence by the artist James Turrell.
